giveaway and report #4.....

Good morning!!!! The work has once again begun! Hopefully tonight we will have the roof enclosed with decking anyway! They are now tying in the old roof with the new with rafters, it looks nice! After that the decking and it might be tomorrow before they start with the shingles. We are not roofing the whole roof, (wish we could) but for now just the back. It is a different color than the old but at least we live out in the country and NO one will see and hope soon to re-do the rest as it really needs it. Another beautiful day for the guys and work!

Couple of more facts about our house. The girls are all in one room with the two sets of new black bunk beds. Terry and I are in the smallest BD. We have lived here 15 years and as you all know it just takes time and resources to re-do a 35 year old house. The Lord provided through the circumstances of my mom dying in 1994 to be able to pay for the house with cash. It is a great house and I do not ever want to move, unless the Lord gives direction. I am happy to live the rest of my days here!! I do enjoy changing and getting the house more up to date but in due time! The guys are doing a super fantastic job and I am totally amazed that they have the abilities to build form ground up and Lord willing they hope to be building their own house as soon as the Lord gives land and provision!!!!!

****Ok, now for the "Giveaway." Leave a comment and on Friday the 27th at 7pm, we'll draw a name for the warm snuggly scarf and gloves, tea and the Christmas green nail polish, a(and its from a beauty supply place, my favorite) and some hidden surprises that I will stick in too. Tell us what your thankful for, that simple!!! I know we can not list everything, God has so blessed but maybe some things that are fresh on your heart. Let us offer our thanks to our Great Lord Jesus!

I'll check back later today and maybe with some pictures!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying preparing today and being with family, I am!!!!!!

I get to be first to praise the Lord! :) I am so grateful that He is my Good Shepherd. He has taught me in new ways this year how to wait upon Him, hear His voice, and follow His leading. I love how He always goes before me and faithfully guides my heart. John 10:4 Thank You, Jesus!

Sounds like the building is coming right along... excited for you.

I thank Jesus... for His grace. Even when I become so weary He picks me up....

Thankful for my children... each one. Thankful to be allowed to teach my children at home... Thankful to be able to stay at home and be a keeper. :)

This is the first time I have posted though I read quite often.

I am so very thankful for my children and husband. We have never known the loss of a child until this week. The Lord felt best to take our unborn child home to Him before we got to meet our sweet child's face.

I am thankful that the Lord knows better than I do. I am thankful for my sweet husband and children who have walked this with me and have been so loving and caring.

Thank you for your blog and being so transparent in your feelings.

thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ, first and foremost, my husband and children. And for the Lord healing me through this season of breast cancer. Trusting and believing Him for a complete healing. Happy Thanksgiving!

"That my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." Psalm 30:12

On my blog I have listed so many things, but at this moment I will share this blessing:
I am thankful for a loving 71 yr old mother and 76 yr old father who LOVE to provide a Thanksgiving meal to any and all family members who will attend. They buy it, prepare it, and clean up after it. It's just beautiful! I am thankful for them!

Cindy- Firstly, don't put my name in. I won last time!

I love reading about your "history" on your home and things. I would love to see pics sometime of your room, the guys and the gals....I saw the girls room once but not much.

Right now I am thankful for my health. my blood levels have dropped so am grateful. They have to drop a lot more or it could be bad but I am so happy at how much they have gone down. I am thankful for my family and for the blessings from the Lord that are daily present. He is faithful and good. There is always much to be thankful for. "Count your many blessings"

Have a great Thanksgiving. Still pray for you.Blessings and much love.

I'm thankful for our baby Lucie. For her life. That she is here and I can pick her up and snuggle her anytime I want. I'm thankful that she is so much more attached to me than any of our other kids ever were. I'm thankful that I can rub my cheek against the top of her head and that she is here for me to breathe in her smell. I'm filled with gratitude that I get to calm her sobs and comfort her in her tears. I'm filled with wonder and thanksgiving when I feel her tiny hand caressing my arm as I nurse her and hold her and draw her in.

And I could go on and on about our precious, 10 month old Lucie-gift!

Well I am thankful that the Lord has taken care of my family this week. Five out of the 6 have had the flu but the baby stayed well. I know it doesn't compare to some but yet it has been a hard week for them. I think your house will be great. I love the idea of putting two tables together. Right now ours seats 6 and we have 2 highchairs for the little ones. Our table is oval so I don't think that would work for us. Wish I could do something like that. Hope your family has a great Thanksgiving. God Bless You, Missy in TN

I am thankful to God for a big family, for 'big' little brothers and for sisters to talk and giggle with and for the most godly parents to raise us up.

And that it's finally winter and not burning HOT any more!! :)

Isa. 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."
I thank the Lord for a continual health struggle because I know He gave me this gift for some way to bring Him glory. His way is best. He is amazing!

The work on your addition looks great! I'm sure you are thankful for nice weather.

I am thankful for my Saviour and Lord first and foremost, and for His peace as our little unborn child was taken to Him last week. We know that this also is in His plans. He is sovereign.

I am so thankful for so much...for how much the Lord loves me, for giving me Daniel and 12 precious children, for bringing us and then keeping us here in Mexico, for our little church that is growing, thriving, and spreading the gospel around this small town, for the home the Lord provided for us, for family and friends, and for oh so much more. Happy Thanksgiving Morris Family! I'm thankful for you all too!
