been........

I am still on the planet. Been busy, been sad, been getting my hair trimmed and now I have bangs, been getting cover-alls out of the attic and cleaning out the attic, been to the thrift store, been trying to encourage a mother that misses her baby Rebekah, been doing school, been making the wood stove ready for a fire tonight, been making plans for the guys to put the roof/windows on the addition to our kitchen during Thanksgiving, been being grumpy, been thinking of what we were doing in 06', been wishing my clothes dryer did not screech and I have to SLAM the door so I do not hear it, been listening to all the things the little children are asking me to get next payday, been to Stillwater, been to Wal Mart looking for Zhu Zhu Hamsters, (anybody have one yet? the limit at Wal. is 2) been waiting in line so I could sit down and do this!!!!!!!! Its hard to get to the computer these days, in between Facebook, Goat forums, cow forums, craigslist, playmobiles, legos, weather, trophy rock, looking at deer cameras, people looking at land but after midnight the line is shorter but my brain cells are too sleepy by then.

Over the weekend, we had some that went to weiner roast, put Christmas lights up around the Bistro patio and also on the Red bud tree that folks gave us in memory of Joel, some played football with a bunch of folks, Caleb and Micah went to the big OSU game in Stillwater, Elijah finally got hay, Terry did some garden work, we are still getting lettuces and tomatoes, Dave and Kate came over and ate and we watched a movie together, Elijah also worked on the new big area we are adding to our garden next year, its now coming towards the backyard, behind the house!!!

It has turned cold today, brrrrrrr!!!! I can not stand the coldness, I am a major summer, 100* person, but its finally here and I will have to adjust accordingly with warm fuzzy sweaters, my snuggly knee sock and my dashing looking scarves and a whole lot of coffee!!!! Tonight will be our first fire in the wood stove, its suppose to get in the 30's. The guys are working out in it and I called wondering if they were terribly cold and they said if your working its ok. They have lots of layers on, snowhats and gloves. Oh......Micah has finally got a buck that showed up on his deer camera, hopefully soon a BANG!!!!!!

Jeremiah during his school work is reading out loud to me and he is in the book of John. He read this verse, Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that shall hear live. John 5:25 I asked him if he knew what the hour was, he said "no I do not have a clock." It was soooooo funny, as I was really asking him if he knew what that meant. He is our son that is so very literal and has tons of questions and many of them are spiritual ones. He is a fun fellow to be with. Sometimes we need merry medicine and I enjoy hearing all the little peoples talks and views. I was not around for this one, but Bethany told me. Hosanna came and asked if we were going to have storms tonight, she told her no, and then she said "well, Jeremiah said there was a chance of falling stars tonight and wanted to know if they would come through the roof?" (we are suppose to have meteor showers tonight around midnight)

I read a verse the other day that keeps coming to my mind, because with all the re-play that is going on in my head, I guess the Holy Spirit is trying to help my mind. John 12: 1-3, Then Jesus, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper, and Martha served; but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odor with the ointment. I was thinking of the different people that are represented here, some that prepared, some that served, some that were at the table and also some that gave "very costly." In my mortal, fleshly thinking, I still have to battle with why we were the "some" that had to give "very costly?" I do believe with all my heart it has to do with mysteries of His perfect plans and providences and it was just His will but that does not mean I do not have wished it would have not been us. He has "lots" for each of us and whether we are in different places as these were in this scripture we are all an intricate part of His plan. It boggles my mind why so many children have to die and I have read about ever so many in these two years but He is still perfect and just in all his doings. I like the thought that even though she gave what was so "very costly" the house was not empty but was "filled" with an odor and that can only happen as we embrace and rest in His will that he brings into our lives. I will just pray that the sweet odor of Joel's life will fill our home and touch others in a way that will be mighty for his kingdom.

I had better go see what kind of damage Micah and Jeremiah and Hosie are doing in the kitchen.....cookies or something, but for sure Micah is in charge!!!!!!!

As we get closer to the Dec. 3rd date of the diagnoses with Joel in 06' and the beginning of this blog and so many of you have stayed on board and are even still praying for us, I say thank you with all my heart.......can I tell you, "I Love You?".....I do!!!!!

That is a very neat analogy with the ointment of spikenard. Something costly and dear given up and the fragrance of the offering filling the whole house. I think the Lord likes contrasts, beauty for ashes, joy for morning, praise for the spirit of heaviness... Is. 61:1-4
The First fire... how special!!! And MICAH, Miah and Hosie making dessert, wow, we're sorry to miss that! I bet it was tasty! You'll have to take pictures of it so that we can see what dessert they made... haha, that would've been fun to watch! (that's a nice "haha", not a devious one!) Ya'll have a good evening! :)

I know the memories pour in and your heart can hurt....... Sometimes hurt is a good thing as long as it draws us to Him. Thank you for sharing your heart as it encourages me much. Can I say I love you too??? :) Bless you.
