" And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said,
Surely the Lord is in this place;
and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said,
How dreadful is this place!
this is none other but the house of God,
and this is the gate of heaven.
(Gen 28:16-17)
and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said,
How dreadful is this place!
this is none other but the house of God,
and this is the gate of heaven.
(Gen 28:16-17)
I read this verse this morning. He is ever still gently leading me to know that this trial is His perfect work. I too say, "surely the Lord is in this place, He is in this dreadful place with me, us." How can such a dreadful place be so near the gate of heaven??? Because He is in this place. Whatever dreadful place your in, He is there!
I miss you, Joel!

It is dreadful but am thankful the Lord will not forsake us throught the "shadows", even the darkest shadows... Beautiful picture and scripture.Blessings

I can't imagine doing it without HIM! He gives us such precious promises.
That picture is beautiful.
I've been a faithful reader of your blog for quite sometime now. Have been so encouraged by your faith in Christ and your willingness to trust Him with you lives. Your family is beautiful. My husband and I have been praying through our 6 years of marriage that the Lord would give us grace to truly submit to Him in all things and that we would find joy in it and not act like its a burden. We've been blessed with 3 children: Ethan 5, Rachel 3.5 and Kara Joy is 16 months. We look forward to many more blessings and are thrilled to see them as gifts from the Lord!
Thank you for your example.
Reading... thank you for those words. I needed them. Thinking of you and Joel.... all of you. Praying for you. Hugs....
