I know I have posted this somewhere but who knows where??? Its just a basic recipe, nothing fancy.
Sugar Cookies

1/2 c. butter softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
2 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
cream together butter and sugar, add egg and almond extr. Mix together flour, baking powder
and salt. Divide dough into two equal parts to work with. Roll about 1/8 inch thickness, cut into
shapes. Place on lightly sprayed cookie sheets. Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes, top rack, until
edges are barely browned. Cool on pan and then remove carefully to wire racks.
I had another question relating to the guys music CD. They were wondering if the arrangements were available as sheet music. It s not at this time, but maybe in the future. Thanks for inquiring, maybe it will be motivation for them to pursue this option.(we usually 3 times it)

On the icing, I have two that I use. One is the regular decorator icing with the horrible shortening. I do not use this one often.
Icing
4 c. powder sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
4 Tbls. shortening
4-8 tsp. milk, maybe more
(enough to make a smooth creamy consistency, not runny)
wilton coloring, do a little and add to get color desired
I use a pastry bag to decorate the details with and spread
the bigger parts with a knife
Butter Cream Icing
1/3 c. butter softened
4 c. powder sugar
3-4 Tbls. milk
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Mix together. I use my electric mixer, but only mix until
it is smooth. I have over mixed and the butter seems to curdle or something.
add coloring.
