What's Ahead...Lord Willing !

This morning I went on to read the rest I the book of Joshua and was encouraged with a picture for the future. Then ye shall let your children know, sayinig, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. Joshua 2:22. We too have made it over, we did not sink, though at times it seemed as I would, and still at moments I feel like I have to take a deep breath, but we are on dry ground now. Now as Joshua stood at the edge on "holy ground" and the future was before him, I feel like I am sort of in his shoes, looking to the future and the ground that I stand on is "holy" because it was his path that we go through and the ground that he will lead us on in the future will be "holy"ground too, because he is holy, his ways are holy and wise. The children no longer ate the manna but they hada new diet, the fruit of the land was before them, so I look to partake of the "new" diet that the Lord will feed my heart since coming over this Jordan. Before Joshua was scores of battles, but also a host of victories, so I am going to not be decieved to think that what lies ahead will be easy, but with the Lord fighting before us we too can gain victories. Now I want to be on guard for the trouble that they had at Ai with sin in the camp and make restitution with the Lord when he so convicts. This book to me is a picture of deliverance, battles, victories, generations to come, recieving blessings, families, and inheritances. I read a verse in 14:19,Who answered give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the nether springs. I am going to make that a prayer to the Lord!! As I thought of the Lord's plan for the future and I have shared this verse before, 21:45, There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel: all came to pass. In the end, the Lord will have brought all good to pass for my life and our family. When it gets to the end of the book and Joshua is giving out his last counsels to future generations, I too want to exhort our own children to cleave unto the Lord you God as ye have done unto this day. (23:8) One other verse that stood out was 24:13, I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat. Now if the our children carry out truth and principles to their own familie that they have learned from Terry and I, it is only by God's grace and I will be so grateful to see them go forth in them. I guess I was thinking of this verse in light of how important it would be to teach our children the truth of scripture and it may be that they can eat of the fruit that they did not neccessarily labour for, Terry and I by God's grace did that in a sort of way by giving them a foundation. For example, as they seek to apply children are a blessing into their homes, they will not have to go to battle, or build, they have already embraced that will enjoy the fruits of others labours. Other examples would be the truths we have sought to teach them about debt, modesty, doctrines of scripture, they will enjoy the "taste" and reap the benefits from those labours. I am not giving Terry and I credit, its all the Lord's doings in their hearts, but just desiring the future generations to come to be able to eat of the labours of those that were before them. Now of course the opposite can happen if we as parents do not plant, build and labour for those that will come after us!! And then the closing thought of Joshua was in verse 24:28, So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance. Well, there will be a day they leave our nest, but they will be staring their own inheritances with children, and Terry and I will be blessed as they raise future generations for his glory and they will partake of labours that God gave us the privelege and honor to instill in their parents. So you see, the future is about inheritances, Terry and I will inherit, our children will and so on. I too thought about Joel on this verse, he has already recieved his inheritance and we will always reap benefits from his little life, he was number 11, a blessing!! The future....O, Lord as I stand and gaze to the future, do your will, it will be best, and what a joy to think of future generations from our own children.

Rodeo time tonight!!!! This time we will not only be on-lookers, but some want to participate. Hosanna "thinks" she wants to ride a sheep, we'll see when we get there!! The Guys are in Stillwater at a class with Stay Tuff fencing. When they complete it, our business name will be listed on their web page. So just another avenue for provision!

Good news on the computer end, the Lord has provided through my folks and with David, (the make-it-happen man/with God's help) and his connection with Dell through his business, we are getting a Desk top to replace our lap top, which David is going to pull apart and search the inside and scan the parts, which possibly can be fixed but Terry will just use that for business if it is fixable! So again, the Lord steps in, speedily and meets a need. Its exciting when he answers our prayers, but its exciting too that he hears our prayers even if they are delayed from our perspective.

Thanks for all the white jean ideas, I'll check them out. And Leslie in Wisconsin, could you e-mail again with you question because we lost all our addresses!!

Have a great weekend!!!!

Cindy

"How Great Thou art"(Great Hymn)
When times are hard he is his greatest!!!!! Purify me or Lord!!!!!

Today in our Morning family prayer and devotion time we read Psalm 69-71. As a family we have chosen to REJOICE and PRAISE our maker in this wilderness.

I continually cast my prayers/requests upon our Lord. He then provides peace and assurance that he has deliverance/faithfulness in his plan!!!!

Our Lord blesses us with beautiful memories, reminders, experiences, times,..... All that bring tears I cant hold back. Tears of joy, truth, happiness, desire, and longing.

Sometimes his blessings make life harder. If the way was easy we should turn to the Lord as much as we do today. In the times of easy blessings may our family praise and lean on him more!

As I read his word, my tears of joy fall upon my bible. My bible has become stained by tears of joy and craving tomorrow then I will be give more reminders of the Lords gift.

Some day "In Heaven" I will have tears of joy that will fall on the head of the one I constantly love and miss!!!!!
(I am sure you feel the same way about Joel)

“…its exciting too that He hears our prayers even if they are delayed from our perspective.” :) Amen. So many things arise to cloud my vision and surround my heart with fear and trembling; but when I cry unto my God, He delivers me into His peace and blessed assurance. Ps 55:17 “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” I cry out with my voice and with the silence of my upturned pleading eyes, and He hears and He will save me out of all my troubles! Ps 34:4 “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Ps 59:16 “But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.”
I am unquestionably on the side of the Jordan with the “scores of battles, but also a host of victories”. Indeed, when times are hard He is at His greatest! 2Cor12:9-10 “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” Oh praise God for this! Ps70(5)” But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.” Something the Lord keeps showing me as I read the Psalms is our dire need to be clothed in YHWH’s righteousness, washed pure by His blood, and covered in His holiness “for the sake of mine enemies.” Ps71:2 “Deliver me in Thy righteousness…..” Ps139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” I need to be “dressed in His righteousness alone” so that I’m “faultless to stand before the throne.”
( : Thank you for your encouraging words! Luke22:32a “I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not…..”
Eph6:10-18 :)

To: the author of the last comment,
One thing that might help in your battles is to tell your husband that you are still following him and you totally trust and support him in this battle. God designed your husband to be that protector and decision maker. Your verbal submission will free him to make the biblical and Godly decision for the family. He will be blessed to know you are by his side and will never leave no matter how hard it gets or how big the dragon is that he must slay with the “sword of the spirit”. You as his wife have the power be the help meet that can help your head turn the table of the battles your family faces. Find a creative way to tell your husband “I submit to your headship and I am by your side as your helpmeet for eternity. As the Lord leads you, so shall I be led by you.” You will empower him to lead you across the River Jordan into the promise land (as the Lord leads him).

A Prayer for Rescue and Prosperity
A Psalm of King David.

Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
my goodness, and my fortress;

my high tower, and my deliverer;
my shield, and he in whom I trust;
who subdueth my people under me.
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him!

or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

Send thine hand from above;rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; whose mouth speaketh vanity,

and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song unto thee, O God:

upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children,whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: that our garners may be full, affording all manner of store;that our sheep may bring forth thousands
and ten thousands in our streets: that our oxen may be strong to labor; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
