"In God's Hands"

Many thanks to all who were able to pray for Joel last night. This morning Joel's vital signs are much improved from where they were last night when the doctor thought he might have pnuemonia. His heart rate is 106, his last blood pressure was 88/43 and his oxygen level is 90. His oxygen level has been around 92, so it is slightly down.

When the doctor came in this morning, I think that he was a little suprised that Joel had recovered like he has from last night. This is a great victory, and thanks to the Lord for this!

We are working on some details that would allow us to get home. Please pray that all parties involved will be cooperative and work out this solution.

We know that Joel is in God's hands, and we are trusting Him to demonstrate His mighty power in Joel's life. Psalm 139: 13-18 says, "For thou hast possessed my reins; thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."

This providence in our lives has impacted our family. Cindy related a touching story from yesterday when she went home. As she went into the boys room she looked over in Joel's bed and there was a baby doll laid in the bed with cords and wires all set up around it. It appears that Josiah, Joel's twin, and Hosanna (4) had set all this up while they were playing at home. When Cindy asked them what was wrong with the baby, they said that it had cancer. We would appreciate your prayers for Joel's brothers and sisters as they deal with Joel's condition.

"This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it" -From the Psalms

I am so glad Joel has improved from last night. I pray you will get things worked out so you can take him home.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it, and it will be yours.

Praise the LORD. Brandon and I have been praying without ceasing for your family, Joel and his doctors.

Brandon had gone outside while I was checking the updates and when he came back I had tears in my eyes, being moved by the story of the children at home. I had to quickly assure him that Joel was okay.

Know you are loved by your brethren in Christ.
