We have scheduled Joel's funeral for Friday at 2:00 PM. We are planning to have the funeral, Lord willing, at Western Hills Church in Oklahoma City. The church is located at 401 SW 44th in Oklahoma City. The funeral home is Smith Funeral home in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Psalm 84 was a blessing this morning, even though the pain is almost unbearable:
How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee, Selah. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a door-keeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Praying for you to have His grace and glory (as the psalm promises) as you walk this path. Although I have lost children through miscarriage, I cannot imagine what you must feel upon the loss of Joel, your beloved son. Yet there is One who can and does understand and I know you are leaning on Him.

I read about Joels journey and his death and I am so sorry for the loss of Joel in your family. I praise the Lord that he is with our Father in Heaven and yet realizing Joel will be so missed by his precious siblings and parents.
I feel we have alot in common. I this year lost my best friend to cancer after watching her go through the effects of cancer. It has been difficult, yet knowing she is with the Lord is bearable.
Also my wonderful friends have 12 children as well and I have enjoyed being a part of thier lives.
I will continue to pray for you and your family at this time.
May God wrap you in his peace and comfort.
Prayers for your family throughout this difficult time of sorrow and planning.

Psalms 34:17-19 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth. and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
When I get to Heaven the first person I want to see is Jesus, the second is my brother whom I never got to meet, the third is little Joel who through his journey brought me into a closer relationship with Christ. Joel was God's prophet here on Earth. I thank you for sharing his story for all. God has blessed me through your wonderful little boy. God has truly blessed you and your family.
