"Arise, O Lord"

I am sitting beside my beloved Joel as the nurse rubs lotion on his little body. His heart is beating at the rate of 114 BPM's. His blood pressure is 123/77 and his respiratory rate is 14.

Our little Joel hangs onto life. He is on a respirator and on IV fluids. Medical science has pronounced Joel "brain dead". Medical science is not God. We believe that his heart beating and his blood flowing means that he yet lives.

The OU Medical Center has asked that we find another place to go and has given us until the end of the day on Monday to do so. The Baptist Medical Center in OKC rejected Joel this morning. We are searching for some physician and some hospital that will allow little Joel to live.

We believe that life is precious, no matter if it is a deformed child in the womb that the medical world recommends should be aborted, or a little three year old boy who lays in a hospital bed clinging to life, even though the medical doctor has declared him "dead". We believe that the Lord Jehovah, the Lord Jesus, that healed the sick, and raised Lazrus from the dead still lives and can do mighty works.

Please pray that we will find some physician in this country who will have the heart to give Joel a chance and care for his little body.

If you would like to express your concern about Joel's condition, the OU Medical Center's number is 405-271-5437.

The President and CEO of the hospital is Gerald J. Maier, and I am scheduled , Lord willing, to meet with him on Monday morning.

Please pray that the Lord Jehovah, the Father of Mercies, will preserve Joel through the difficult valley that he is experiencing right now.

Have you checked with St. Jude's? They are another possibility, although since they are out of state, I realize that would probably make them a nearly impossible choice. Perhaps they could help you find someone who would take you. I don't know.

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3

Dear Cindy & Terry & family,
Just stopping by to check on Joel. I have thought of him all night... during our worship service as we were singing I thought of Joel and lifted a prayer for him. I continue to lift him and all of you up to the Father.

May you feel HIS peace flow over you~

Returned home last night from a few precious days with our sweet nephew Joel. Our hearts are so heavy and emotions so raw, but we are so thankful for the special time of bonding we had with all of our family. We love you all so much. Terry and Cindy, it's my hearts desire that the feeling of us embracing you and our hearts breaking for you and prayers going up for you lingers with you since we were not able to stay. It was so hard for us to leave. Especially so for Uncle Todd who so relishes his time with his neices and nephews and is so broken hearted over little Joel. You both know that we feel your pain like not a lot of people can. May God wrap his arms around you so tightly and you feel the love of your family like never before. Your children are a sweet blessing to us and we cherished this time with them. We were only a short way down the road when their "like an uncle" Jeff said he missed them already. To my sweet Joel...I'm so thankful that I was able hold your hand and kiss your precious face. I only wish you could know how many people you had standing around your bed loving you Maybe you do. So many of us have discussed how we don't know how to pray right now. We want you back with us so badly, but we know you have a plan that's beyond our comprehension. We know your will will be done here. We plead with you to give us strength and peace. We love you Joel. I will always remember then feeling of your sweet little hand in mine. We love you all so much.

Dear Morris Family,
I have been keeping up with Joel's journey and praying for him every day. Your faith and courage has touched my heart as a new mother. Little Joel's journey has been testimony that God is in control of our lives and that he will walk with us in the darkest of places and carry us in our times of trials. Many of us out here just want to help in any way we can but do not have the access to help you directly, so I will continue to pray for your family.

Morris family,

I can not express the heaviness my heart feels for your family at this time. Although I have not seen you in several years I think about you all often. My prayers are with you constantly. We know that God can do ANYTHING and I am praying God will heal Joel's little body completely!

With love,
