a song

Bow the Knee

There are moments on our journey following the Lord

Where God illumines ev’ry step we take.

There are times when circumstances make perfect sense to us,

As we try to understand each move He makes.

When the path grows dim and our questions have no answers, turn to Him.

Bow the knee;

Trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see.

Bow the knee;

Lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity.

And when you don’t understand the purpose of His plan,

In the presence of the King, bow the knee.

There are days when clouds surround us, and the rain begins to fall,

The cold and lonely winds won’t cease to blow.

And there seems to be no reason for the suffering we feel;

We are tempted to believe God does not know.

When the storms arise, don’t forget we live by faith and not by sight.

I heard this song on Sunday, it spoke to many hearts in our family, many with different needs and desires.

Cindy-
This is one of my favorite songs. We use it with our DVD when we share our campus ministry with churches. Thank you for sharing it here. It is beautiful.

Oh yes, I LOVE that song. We sang it at my Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary party and it's also on the CD we made. It has become one of our favorites as well.

Mrs. Morris, I am wanting to say something kindly and not to be hurtful. I have noticed your change of dress and it has had me a bit dissapointed to be honest. I remember how you used to dress and how modest you were and how once you even shared about how your boys stumbled over tighter shirts on you. I have just seen that your skirts are shorter and tighter as well as your shirts and just wanted to know why? I really like you and your family but wanted to be honest. Why is it that we want to look like the world? Cute, trendy and such? Just a concerned friend.
