My Friend.....

I have a friend. Her name is "Mrs. B" alias/Cheryl. We have been friends for 9 years. She has a husband, "Mr. B." They have 8 children. They live in a house that is over 100 years old. It is on the historical records. She is going to have a birthday on July 28th. She will be the fabulous 50! They live 1 hour and 20 minutes away. Their family came to the 4th party. Sooooo that is why I have to use every opportunity to express how much I love her and enjoy our friendship. I stole all the moms and older daughters away for a moment to make a special presentation for my friend. I called her to the front. I think I embarrassed her a little. I had to give a little speech. I had to tell the others that I know my friend well. She has many passions. Her husband, Jesus, her children, her home........BUT she also LOVES to shop!! What woman doesn't?? I saw something at the store that I could not resist! It had the word "Shopping" on it! It was a "girl's only" item. She said "your not going to put that on the blog are you?" I want to but......After she opened "it," I had to give her a peace offering gift to go with it.....a Dr. Pepper. I think she still likes me:) I just had to do it!!! Seriously, Cheryl is a dear friend, she has to be to put up with me doing that to her:) I so enjoy being with her and hopefully I am not too wild for her!! She has a special place in my heart as she was here for the birth of Joel and Josiah, she held Joel while Josiah was preparing to come forth. She was at the hospital when we received the diagnoses with Joel. She took care of Mercy at the hospital. She got together Elijah's 16th BD and had a small gathering while Terry and I were at the hospital. She was there for me. Cheryl was also there on Jan. 23, 2007 when Joel took his last breath and all the beeps of the machines told us that he had taken his flight and made his entrance into heaven. She is a very dear friend and I am grateful for her!! We love their family and of course John-Clay their oldest son made the Joel's Journey DVD. What a treasure that is to my heart!! Thank you B's, thank you my dear friend "Mrs. B, alias Cheryl alias Shrub!!"

We loved meeting Mrs. B and their family. They were so sweet to let our over-tired, stuck in the van all day children overtake their hotel room.
Tell her hi from us! :) How good the Lord is to give us wonderful, Christ like, dear friend!

Now I really want to know what was in that bag!

I am so glad that you had a special friend like that during Joel's Journey and that she is able to share those special memories with you.
