instaFriday #2

we got........

trampolines, pet frogs, lotsa cookies and candy corn,

little girls and little dogs,

yummy homemade cookies that did NOT last long,

and we even got some "monkeys" in trees,

......and we surely got school work to do,

but in spare time,

we got a book that tells of heavens sublimes!
(i dont mean to sound ungrateful for the little yellow book
but when u have a 3 yo little boy there,
i already knew heaven was real.......i read sooo many scriptures
that encouraged he was there!!!)

we also got a really LARGE dog,

and we have lotsa goats that eat like "hogs!!"

and last but not least we got,

a Corgi and an Aussi

Just a few pictures from the "lake crew!!" I am glad I did not go!!! They did toooo many scary things for me!! I think they only ended up with a broken hand from one of the guys, not any of ours!! ha!! We haven't done much real camping, so this was a real fun adventure for our crew. I think the only camping supplies we contributed was the campfire coffee pot!! I guess camping has never been our thing, but obviously Melissa's family are pros!!! Glad they had a great time!! That water would have looked good on the over 100 degree days but now that we are having upper 70's and 80's and 60's in the evening, it makes me cold!!

This was a short week!! We did get our school going and still working out a few kinks!! Was blessed today with being allowed to borrow an Algebra 1 curriculum that has a DVD so hopefully success is around the corner!! Thank you Cindy!!! ( another Cindy!! ha!!)

Daniel and Elijah were given some OSU tickets to the big game Thursday!!! Exciting!! You might see them on t.v.!! Grocery day for me Thursday, I will make sure and take a jacket, those stores are cold!! Friday, our hometown team, the Bluejays are playing an away game but its not too far, so Lord willing the littles are looking forward to that! Also, Thursday Bethany is judging a dairy goat show and Hosanna is going on a "field trip" with her!!

Hope you all are enjoying the cooler temps, its definitely feeling more like Fall!! I hope we get some rain soon, we gotta get some hot dog roasts and outside campfires going.....I cant wait to "smell" that smell!

our weekend/ their weekend!!

 Well we all went different directions!!! and it all happened on Friday!! Kristen treated Daniel to a "surprise" visit to MD for a little belated bd for Caleb!! Like a total surprise, blindfold and everything!!! From what I hear they haven't stopped since he has
 been there!! It made my heart happy to know they were together again!!

For the "others," Bethany, Elijah, Anna and Micah, they went to Missouri/Arkansas, whichever place has Table Rock Lake for real camping (no electricity) with a sweet family!! From what I have heard they have had a great time too and got a bit roasted!!

For the "leftbehinders" 6 of them, well we could not be outdone so we did our own stuff!! Friday night we went out to eat at Applebees!! Josiah, Jeremiah, Andrew, Hosanna got GIANT hamburgers which I was questionable if they could even eat them, but they did!! Josh got steak and shrimp like Terry, and I got some quesadillas, and Mercy got a :her size/reasonable size" burger!! ha!

After our little eatin out, we made a stop at Academy for 2 guys some tenny shoes!! Hard choice when there are likey hundreds to pick from!! But they made good choices!!

Our last stop for Friday evening was this new place I have been wanting to go, Pinkitzel!!! Its a whimiscal little candy shop that has any kind of candy, cupcake, chocolate you might want!! They each got to pick something out!!

On Saturday, Terry took the 4 little guys, well Andrew is not little but anyways, to the first OSU game this season!! They were pretty excited!! And Terry even managed to get some pics for me!!

Course us girls, Hosanna and Mercy and  I had to do something girlie.....so we did what girls do best.....SHOP!!! We made our rounds to some favorite places and of course the Disney store was the "hit!!"
Then we came home and us girls continued to have our fun by watching a movie!!

It has been a memorable Labor Day weekend!! The "lake" people will be back tonight for our annual burger cookout and Daniel will be flying back Tuesday!!

september one.....

 

September 1......its here!!! It brings lots of memories!! The first thought is almost 8 years ago, I was great with children in the womb!! In 12 days two little guys were going to join our family!! Joel and Josiah!! That was one major birth, but divinely orchestrated!! I will always be in awe of what the Lord did in hat pregnancy and birth! Next thought, of course Fall is just around the corner with cooler temps I hope for the sake of all who live in this house! haha!! I got out my "little bit" of Fall things and set them out!! The white pumpkins are my new addition this year for our new kitchen area. We were not in the kitchen last Fall, so I am enjoying the decorating of it as the holiday-ish seasons approach!! It will be interesting to see if I can get that 12 foot tree in there this year! 

Lots of different directions are planned for the weekend! I guess the last "blowout" before school begins for us!! Hopefully I will be ignited with excitement before Tuesday!! LOL!!

Josiah and I are still trying to figure out some bd ideas!! I think my bd brain has left me! Oh yea, Micah had a bd on Tuesday, he is now 17!! Had a fun family over to celebrate and enjoy a "sundae bar." 

Obviously, one of the hardest things of a parent is to see or know their child's heart hurts. Its easy to scoop or carry a little person up in your arms and give comfort and soothe their needs but when they are adults, they really dont get in your lap anymore......so a parent then has to "carry" them to the Lord. Praying for your children never grows wearisome to me. There are things beyond my comforts, control, my help, that only God can do. I am so thankful that He hears, He sends His Holy Spirit to their individual needs. I hope they will always know that God will be Faithful to them in every joy and trial!!
