pray for others!

For the last two years Caleb, Daniel, Bethany, Elijah and Anna have participated in an event in our town, Guthrie, called the Journey to Bethlehem. They have live scenes set up for folks to walk through and then at the end of the tour they have a reception room and our children play their instruments. The father and husband that organizes this event was killed in a car wreck Friday morning, his name is Chris (age 34) His wife was also in the truck but is is in critical but stable condition. They just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary and have two children I think around 8 and 10. Would you pray for this family? Can you imagine???

Here are a few more, I know we all have lists, but I like to share with others because "I know" how much prayer means and feels to a desperate, hurting heart!

Leightyn's family.....a 5 year old little girl that died suddenly of a brain tumor in August.
The Evans family......I mentioned this family not long ago, the wife giving birth to 21 week old twins and had complications in delivery and died.
Oliva's family......a 11 year old little girl who died this week of cancer.

The guys are having to work today in Ada and in OKC, so they can be off on Monday becasue Caleb and Daniel are pouring the foundation to each of their houses!!! Very exciting!!! So today, being Saturday will be different not having them here. :( But tonight.....our tradition of Friday grilled hamburgers!!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Josiah's toe is healing, thankfully but it still looks, well.....bad! The toe nail is coming off and is all floppy and wet underneath, but he is going 90 to nothing, riding his bike and doing jumps!!!

I so miss you Joel :)........sights and smells remind me of you during this time...

Our internet is still very random, but Lord willing satellite on the 12th, yippppppeeeeeeee!!!!!!

buzz saying winner!!!

We have a winner!!!!! for the "buzz" saying!!!!

Sarah Gilmore!!!!
email me your address!!!!

thanks for playing, fun fellowship with you all!!

Weekends are very special now, not that they were not, but maybe taken for granted. They are what we look forward to, being together, catching up, telling of work stories, people they meet, testimonies of God's works and provisions, and then we that are home have to give our reports, so its just a good time of family!! But we also had a great time withe friends, new ones, and ones God has allowed us to began building a bond with!!! Saturday, two young ladies came to our house, both professional photographers. One from Washington DC, the other from Texas. Amazing how God has brought people in our lives and it all goes back to Joel. Soooo, we had a photo shoot and it was so fun!! I don't know when I will have the pics on hand to share but hope to soon! Little did these two young ladies know they would get to go 4 wheelin and Ford driven!!! Those adventures are sure to make fast friends with most anyone. Comes to find out, one of the young ladies knows people we know, such a small world as they say! Sunday, after church we had the pastor and his wife for lunch......and if any of us had an illness, it would be totally gone by now, because a merry heart doeth good like a medicine!!!! Wow, was my gut hurting from laughing sooooo much. Sunday evening we went to Pizza Hut with Natalie, Paul and one of their daughters, Annalee. Once again, we were close to rolling on the floor with laughter! It is so true God is so Faithful to give "joy" in the morning, and sometimes the "morning" does not come soon after a trial, but I am so thankful that I can truly experience laughter, joy and it be felt. Even though tears stream down each day, as I reflect, as the cold weather nips at my heart causing me to remember the fall/winter of 06 with Joel, God is my Comfort, my Hope and it is only IN Him that one could even have the wells of laughter and joy spring up again! I read a verse in Genesis this morning, 49:25, Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts and of the womb. I have the blessing above, Joel and my Savior, I have the blessing from the deep.....His grace that has walked with me, the blessing of breast....to nourish, to behold wonderful and fearfully made children, and the blessing of the womb....to even have the opportunity to be a mother and carry and deliver 13 wonderful children. I say, "thank you Lord!"

We still have a few with some slight coughs and Bethany is still struggling with her sore throat. Praying she can get relief quickly. Trying to get some school done, and the usual Monday stuff...tons of laundry. I got to go pick up Micah's deer meat here shortly, check on calling and getting our van windshield replaced because the basketball goal fell on it and shattered it and also the guys are coming back home tonight so they can all vote in the morning! I really like November, the beginning of the holidays, it just feels so festive already. Looking forward to our first fire and the coziness it brings. Our anniversary next week and reflecting the blessed 24 years with a godly husband and father! Looking forward to dressing our house up with twinkling lights and warm glows. I have to confess, its a little sad because the guys being in Ada all week, we will miss the evenings all huddled in our home, sitting around the warmth and glow after we get the house all fixed up, but Lord willing we will make the most of the weekends.

Have a great week, and I hope when I push "publish post" it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
