"He is Risen Indeed"

The Morris family celebrated Resurrection Sunday with the little home church fellowship group this past Sunday. All of the families were in attendance as we discussed the resurrection from the word of God.

The record of the resurrection is contained in the New Testament. There are many eyewitness accounts of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. One of the greatest statements recorded is from one of the angels in the tomb. He said to those who had come to the tomb that Sunday morning so long ago, "Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, He is risen..."

The declaration of the resurrection is that Jesus is the Son of God. The resurrection declares that truth to be absolutely true. The power of the resurrection is demonstrated in the fact that, man, with all of his creative God given intellect, has been able to come up with the atomic bomb and other powerful inventions, but he has not been able to conquer death. What unimaginable power was exerted at that tomb 2000 years ago when Jesus was raised from the dead to die no more! The power of the resurrection is awe inspiring. And yet, the apostle states that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is demonstrated to 'us-ward who believe'.

The result of the resurrection is the guarantee that Jesus shall one day destroy that last enemy called death. Death still roams this planet. Some of us have been touched by its cold hand not so long ago. And yet, the fact that Jesus rose is a guarantee that He will one day destroy that last enemy.

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." I Corinthians 15:51-58

Please pray for a little boy down in Texas named Emilio. The doctors at the Children's Hospital in Austin are trying to end his life. His mother is fighting a battle similar to ours as she tries to keep her son alive. This culture of death in America is such a shame and disgrace to our nation. We need to stand up for life. These hospitals that should be in the buisness of saving life are out to destroy those that they do not feel are fit to live. We must speak up for these helpless ones.

In another time not so long ago the authorities came for different groups at different times and said that they were not fit to live. If we do not speak up now, who knows when they might come for us and state that we are not fit to live.

We are waiting on the records to be delivered to us from the hospital. At that point we need wisdom for the next step to change the death certificate. I was told by a lawyer that it was hopeless to try to change the certificate, nevertheless, for the sake of truth and right I will pursue this issue. It may seem that the medical community is the modern day Goliath defying the truths of the living God. But never forget, that the boy David took his stones and in faith conquered the giant. By God's grace, we will see the truth proclaimed and upheld in this battle.

May the resurrected Christ shine on you today.....

Terry

I read Joel's story and cried and cried. It makes me so angry to hear what the hospitals put you through. Know that I am praying for your family. I can not even begin to explain how much your son's story has touched me.

God bless,

Lauren

Thank you for sharing the wonderful scriptures and... the beautiful family photos. The family circle may be broken on earth but Joel lives on in Heaven...I know God is pleased with your faithfulness as parents of the 13 lives He has lent to you. Joel has touched my life deeply. I just fell in love with him, his sweet smile and face. I know your hearts pain in missing him still, and I continue to send my love and prayers.
May God strengthen and encourage you you as you stand for TRUTH. Your testimony is valuable, even if nothing else transpires.
love, Christal

What a beautiful picture of your family. Thank you for sharing your stories here, for sharing what the Lord is laying upon your hearts, for sharing your memories... It is a blessing to read and to have the opportunity to pray for your family.

I will stand in prayer with you, that the death certificate will be changed. I will also stand in prayer with you for Emilio. It is tragic that hospitals feel that they can step in and make God's calls on our lives.

I continue to have Joel's "button" on my blog, and will leave it there until I close my blog. The Lord has put it on my heart to take a break from blogging, so I will be deleting my blog soon. My prayers will continue for your family. I will stop in, as well, to see how things are going. Your family has truly touched my life.

May you feel His hand upon you always.
