Today was Anna's big day....taking pictures of David and Katelyn's wedding....it went very well and I am so proud of Anna's work, skills and abilities....wanted to share some of my favorites, she took over 300 photos!!
Oh Anna...a job well done! I can tell why your mom is so proud!!! Of course, I assume you take many or most of the pics for the blog which are always so good! What a beautiful bride and they look so very happy!
Well done Anna, you obviously have talent, It is unfortunate though that this celebration was supported by so many while performed in defiance to God's will for the lives of these two.
Dottie, The washing of each other's feet is based in the Scriptural example found in John 13:5-17 "After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them." We chose to wash each other's feet at our wedding as a symbol of servant hood. We wanted one of our first acts following marriage to be in obedience to our Lord and servitude to one another. During the foot washing, the passage cited above and 1Corinthians 13 were expounded upon. It is a really neat reminder for us to serve each other as Christ! Thank you for asking about it! Sorry it took us so long to answer... we're newlyweds you know! ;) And a BIG THANK YOU to Anna for taking so many wonderful pictures for us! They're phenomenal and we're very thankful for the talent the Lord has given you! We pray you all have a blessed a peaceful evening!
The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Psalm 126:3
In response to Colton: I believe that the "anonymous" who posted above is most likely misinformed and/or has not searched the scriptures or the circumstances fully. (Numbers 30, James 5:12 and Matthew 10:28) David and Katelyn walk in the fear of the Lord, not the fear of man, so I would not put much stock into comments such as these (Isaiah 51:7). Those who know personally know the circumstances and David and Katelyn's hearts, knows that their marriage is an act of SUBMISSION to the will of God, not defiance, and that is evidenced by how He has already blessed them in the few days they have been married. Praise our SOVEREIGN God who makes all things happen ACCORDING TO HIS WILL!
By the way, Anna, GREAT PICS, may God continue to be glorified as you serve HIM with your gift!
BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, ANNA!!!!!! They totally capture all the joyful emotions of the moment. The wedding, which totally glorified God in every aspect, was wonderful, and you made it come alive in the pictures! It was so great to be able to see you again and I hope our two families can get together again soon! (and play some more volleyball! :)

Whoever that first "anonymous" is, that's just plain yellow to post such a spiteful comment without having the guts to sign your name!
COLTON THOMAS WILSON is telling you and everyone else out there like you to LEAVE DAVID AND KATELYN ALONE!!!!!!
