John Chapter 12.......a prayer I voiced to the Lord after reading this chapter.......
Oh....Lord, thank you that you came to my Bethany, where Joel lay without breath, and that on the heels of death the Resurrection is declared, for those that are left behind and as we toil and seek to serve and make our suppers and carry on with life, I thank you that Joel is at the table with you. Father, I pray that I would loose my life, that which is costly to me, for others and by doing so my heart and thoughts would be at your feet instead of thinking "woe is me." Oh, Lord help to do go on with life and make mine home a place of sweet odour and a place that is anointed with your ointment of grace and power, help me to keep laying Joel at your feet, that which was and is precious to me. Father, sometimes in my heart a sadness arises that all that was done unto Joel was not fair, even as the chief priests consulted together as how they might put you to death, so did the medical personnel try to get rid of Joel by seeking to force us to unplug him, thank you that you will in the end take care of that, have mercy upon those that do not see "life" as life from you, and thank you that peoples lives have been touched by a three year old little boy. You said, "fear not daughter of Zion: behold thy king cometh," and I say O, Lord come quickley, I understand not all things about this journey but you said when you were glorified they remembered, O, Lord according to your will show me too, help me to be a faithful record bearer of the great things you have done for us, keep me from the wicked one who throws firery thoughts such as," percieve ye how ye prevail nothing?" as the Pharises asked, sometimes in my mind it justs seems a little boy was taken and the world continues on, help me to know it was not for naught. I cry out to you as the people there,"Sir, we would see Jesus, thats all I really need to see. You said there are hours that come upon us a s we travel this life, yours came, may I know that as you said as a corn of wheat falls and dies, it abides alone, but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit, may it be so for Joel's story too. Sometimes I really wished you would have saved us from this hour but I must trust that you being glorified is more important than my desires and hopes, its about you not me, there are so many that stand around and have walked with us , may we by your mercy come through this fire and not smell like smoke as the Hebrew children in the firery furnance, may a fragrence of grace be given to others for your faithfulness to us, help me Lord to walk in the light of truth as I continue to recieve healing and grace and I would not abide in the darkness of the enemys thoughts he brings, and lastly Lord I want to speak of "life" that you have given me through your word to others, may I do just that through the vessel of this blog.........And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (v.50) It's only through Your words that I can go forward in hope, thank you Lord......
In Jesus Name, Amen

Amen.
What a beautiful prayer. I am not quite sure what else to say, your words just touched my heart deeply.
--Thinking of you the next few days, I know that the 23rd is coming fast and I pray that God will fill you joy and rememberances of Joel and keep your heart and faith stronger than ever.
Oh, Cindy, I know God receives your prayer and He is so close to you. Jesus is the only one who can heal our hearts and bind up our wounds. Keep clinging to Him. He is right there with you....as close as a breath. He is keeping Joel for you for now. It is just a delay in your time together....just a little while apart. "Hang on Mommy! I miss you too!"
Love,
Cindy
How true...it truly is only through His Words that we can go forward in hope. What a friend we have in Jesus! Keep clinging to those promised and picturing your sweet Joel playing joyfully at Jesus' feet.
Only eternity will tell the countless ways the Lord has been glorified through Joel's life, your life, and that of your family. It will be worth is all when we see Jesus. Life's trials will seems so small when we see Christ. One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase. So bravely run the race, till we see Christ.
love and prayers each day,
Jaynee
