first day of "school" and their superintendent in the lead...LOL!

did u get sent out of your classroom.....too rowdy????????

Is it going to rise everyday???? Yesterday it was 103, today it is suppose to be 104!!! All the pics above were taken with a phone, forgot the real camera! We got them all settled in their new or shall I say "old" abode!! It will work for a bunch of guys but sincerely our family is so blessed to have the home and little farm we do. Jeremiah received confirmation that he does not like the city!!!! No backyards or front yards either. It is way better set up than a hotel could be for sure and cheaper over the long haul of the 3-4 months. We got there bout 2 ish, unloaded, the guys had already been there and unloaded the big stuff, so us girls got busy putting everything in place while the littles acted like wild hyenas in a new place. The good thing is there is not much there to break except walls, doors and such, but with our crew that is possible. Seriously the littles enjoyed playing-n-seek in closets that were empty!!!! Bethany had to go to Wal Mart twice and then bout 5 ish I put the enchiladas in the oven and bout 6:15 the guys got "home." Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did they ever smell!!!!!!!!!! I took them around and showed them the set up and hope they can find everything after we left :) Enjoyed our dinner together, ate dessert, and then we went over to the job site real quick and then us girls and the littles headed out only to be detoured from the route we take to get home because of a road block so that took us onto greater adeventures through Stratford Oklahoma! Home of the famous Burnett family....my friend!!! We were going to be driving right by their road soooooooooooooowe had to stop, BUT we had to do it secretly!!!!!!! They are all tucked in their home, golden lights glowing from within, all looks calm and secure for the night UNTIL we pull up past their yard to park outta sight, go to the back door and sneak in their washroom. I crack the door and peek inside and not much movement, I finally see a "body" in the LR so with a blast and screams we swing the door open and trample/run loudly down their hallway and with a few shocked looks we surprised them!!!!!! I guess we were not loud and rowdy enough, they did not even scream! Had a good little visit and round 9;30 I think we loaded up to finally head to our farm BUT not without another adventure!!!!!!!!!! I have a new "past time!!" Driving through lawns!!!!! This neighborhood does not have curbs so as we pulled on to the narrow asphalt and headed straight, well I just kept going straight and it was pitch dark.......I kept going and going and soon I was driving in this nice mowed Bermuda grass and thought to myself, "I guess the grass has grown over the road a bit!" That thought left quickly as Bethany started saying something like "mom, this is somebody's yard!" Of course by now we are all laughing hysterically so I stop after touring the persons yard with our 1 ton van and decide to turn into a small piece of pavement, well that was their carport, so back up again and finally get out to the real road!!!!!!!!!!! We had to head back towards the Burnetts from whence we came and I could see a shadow of Mr. Burnett throwing his arms in the air and likely thing "women drivers!?!?!?" As we drove by him and a couple of his children we were laughing sooooo hard and I think he might have to answer a few inquiries from his neighbors!!!!! BUT we hi-tailed it outta there and left it with him!!!!!!
Soooo did we make it home??????????? Yes!!!! About 11:15 pm!!!! See God was Faithful to get us back home!! That was enough adventures for a day! How bout that one "Mav and Mavette??"

I talked to Terry this morning and the first night went well! He said it was so cold he could barley sleep......and here we are so hot we can barley sleep! Its not that bad here, we are adjusted now LOL!!!!! Glad the guys can enjoy the coolness after they have been so hot all day long and they can relax in it. So far so good on this end too. The hard part will be cooking for a smaller crew.

The girls went to iron, I'm doing this, the littles are playing, and now need to go see whats on the menu tonight.

Thank you for praying if you did and if the Lord brings it to mind, keep praying for us and the work crews!!

ada job is NOW!

The guys headed out early this morning with blueberry muffins in their tummy made by their early rising sister Anna !!!!! With two trucks loaded and a tool trailer in tow ( a really nice brand new Terry got for this job) they are off to the long awaited job site to build the walls of a 50,000 sq ft school with Build Block, Insulated Concrete Forms. If the Lord brings it to mind, pray for safety as they work, for wisdom for Terry as he manages this crew in Ada and also he is managing a small crew on OKC (and he still needs a few more guys so e mail if interested,) pray they will stay cool in this heat, and all the guys will have strength and endurance and then mostly it will be a job well done for His glory!!! There has been a little twist added to this adventure, along with the construction part of this Caleb and Daniel have just been asked to do a music project of writing music for a small animated movie that has to do with character qualities. I don't have a lot of info on that part of it but this is the biggest paying project they have been asked to do thus far. It is likely that there could be more opportunities to do music for other character movies they will make as well. Sooooooo, that meant they had to empty their studio and load all the equipment up and take it with them to work on this in the evenings. Sorry guys, not as much vb as you thought was gonna happen in the evenings:)

Ok, so us girls are bout to be off as well with a van loaded with stuff as well. Pray for us if you think of it, its suppose to be 103 today and we are travelin without air in the van. God has been so faithful, I know from experiencing all he has done for us in the past he will take care of even matters as travel and safety in an ole' van! He is God! Anna made a new recipe out of the Pioneer Womans cookbook, the enchilada's and we'll enjoy eating with all our guys tonight in the little house and then we will travel back to our little house on our farm and begin this new way of life....staying upon our Jehovah as he takes us down this path.

Stay cool and swim for me today!!!

Thank you so much for praying, for caring, for keeping on with us, we are blessed because of YOU!!!

Its Hot!!!

Its hot!!!!! Next week temps are lookin to be over 100 many days!!! Ok, here's the scoop......I guess somehow things got confusing as far as what we are doing! Monday is the big day for the school job that we have waited on for so long. Our whole family is NOT moving! Terry and the guys are renting a house about 5 minutes from the job site, they will stay there during the week and come home on the weekend. So I am having to get things for that house so they can have somewhat of a set up to cook, and sleep. The job site is quite a ways from our house, too far to drive every night. Bethany and Anna will travel over once a week and clean and do laundry for them!!! Hope that clears up the confusion. Things are coming together pretty well, some things can not be done til last minute. On Monday us girls will go over there and help set up the house and fix some dinner and then we will come back. I have been so busy with all this and our internet is absolutely "sick" that its hard to post and do pictures, loose connections and all that!

Yesterday was shopping day which was interesting.....the van had to be in the shop and so Terry being so thoughtful rented a little car for me to zoom around in and I had to make two trips of shopping, Thurs. eve and then on Friday. Nice while it lasted :)

All one wants to do because of the heat is get into water! The littles have had fun in the small pool, but at least it cools them off!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hamburgers tonight!!!

job prep underway!

The clock is counting down til our family starts our "new way of life!!" Lord willing next Monday we will haul all this stuff to the rent house to Ada, Oklahoma! Gonna be different for sure! This morning I got to go shopping and spend lots of work money!!!! LOL!!!! I was gathering stuff like all the essentials like bathroom stuff, toothbrushes, shampoo, and all that one needs and then all the kitchen stuff, pots, pans, food items, too numerous to name, and then all the bed stuff, blow up mattresses, sheets, pillows and more but that gives you an idea! I really did not have two of things around here and they can not bring things back and forth, too hard and not enough room in vehicles to do that so the only alternative was to get the stuff!!! Since I love to shop, it was very fun!!!! I had several comments with the buggies piled high, one was are you going camping and the other was are you having a "biscuit party??" I had a huge bag of pancake mix and I guess the guy had never seen such a big bag! Yep, Elijah Morris is in charge of breakfast, and he can do it!!!!! I am loosing brain cells because of this event, hope I can re-gain them somehow! I still have to do some food prep as to their evening meals but its coming together alright. It will definitely take two trucks and the trailer to take all this stuff!!! OH, one great thing we found out was the house has a washer and dryer!!! This is so major, as I did not know how I was going to handle all the laundry. It has a stove, refrigerator, a table and one bed so we are blessed to have all the extras!!!! We are taking an extra couch and chair we have here so they can somewhat relax in the evenings.

So tonight we are heading to a base ball game, OKC Redhawks! The guys should be here soon, Anna is cooing dinner and we have to stop and vote on the way!

I need to "git!!"
